The MossRehab Aphasia Center was recently featured on the WHYY radio show, The Pulse!
Elana Gordon, a journalist on the WHYY Health and Sciences Desk, presented a feature about language recovery after stroke, Following a stroke, finding the words can be a lifelong endeavor.
Speech-language pathologists were interviewed, including our own Karen Cohen, MSPA, CCC-SLP and Sharon Antonucci, PhD CCC-SLP. Dr. Roy Hamilon, a doctor at the University of Pennsylvania, also spoke.
Most important, the story began and ended with words from our Aphasia Center members, Mike, Richard, and Charlie! They all shared important messages.
We are grateful to Ms. Gordon, and all those at WHYY, for sharing our members’ stories and giving a voice to aphasia and aphasia rehabilitation!
For the whole story, head to WHYY’s The Pulse or listen on iTunes!
